Tell us about your role at VC Innovations – what do you actually do, and what’s the best part of it?
I am VC Innovations’ Founder and CEO. The best part of what I do is client relations and business development. I love learning about client’s GTM strategies, new product offerings, challenges etc and presenting how we as a business can create value. I also love watching our team perform and grow on a daily basis. I am amazed by their potential, dedication, and hard work. I feel very lucky and privileged to witness their journeys and equally responsible for ensuring a positive and nurturing environment whilst targets driven and accountable.
What’s one unexpected skill (or completely random talent) you have that helps you at work?
My super power is sleeping. It doesn’t matter how stressful and dauting running a business can be at times, I am always able to get a good night’s sleep.
Explain ‘What VC Innovations does?’ – in 15 words or less.
We help businesses activate their go to market strategies and generate leads by levering our content channels, events, hosted buyer programmes, martech stack and first party data.
If you could swap jobs with anyone in the company for a day, who would it be and why?
I’d like to produce a conference end to end and spend the day researching and talking to industry leaders and innovators.
Would you describe yourself as an AI expert, dabbler, or Sceptic?
Far from an expert but an avid user.
AI + Me: How do you use AI in your role?
I see GenAI as a MUST have across all business functions as it not only creates speed and agility increasing productivity, but it is also a brilliant tool for the development of ideas.
Biggest win, biggest lesson, or funniest career fail – what’s something that’s shaped how you work today?
Too many fails to count but probably running the FTT Festival at PrintWorks in 2019… long story, glass of wine is required to tell. Biggest lesson: no one cares you are a start-up, wake up early, work harder than incumbents and other competitors and earn your spot. Biggest win: closing a major 6 figures campaign deal with one of the largest SaaS providers in FS in our first year. It changed the business trajectory.
