Tell us about your role at VC Innovations – what do you actually do, and what’s the best part of it?
As Head of Marketing at VC Innovations, I lead the strategy and execution of campaigns across all portfolios and marketing services. My team drives high-impact, multi-channel campaigns that deliver real results. We develop innovative marketing materials and work closely with senior stakeholders, as well as teams in sales, conference production, and data, to ensure every initiative aligns with core business goals. The most rewarding part? Seeing all our hard work come to life at the events.
What’s one unexpected skill (or completely random talent) you have that helps you at work?
Being overly organised – or perhaps it’s the extensive list of scattered post-it notes that help!
Explain ‘What VC Innovations does?’ – in 15 words or less.
VC Innovations is a full stack marketing agency that delivers innovative and impactful events.
If you could swap jobs with anyone in the company for a day, who would it be and why?
If I could swap roles for a day, I’d choose to step into Victor’s shoes and gain a broader perspective of the business. I’d love to dive into the 5/10 year strategic plans and explore how every team fits into the bigger picture, considering our industry positioning, and analysing the financials that drive long-term growth.
Would you describe yourself as an AI expert, dabbler, or Sceptic?
An AI dabbler for now – however there is so much to try out and so much to learn.
AI + Me: How do you use AI in your role?
I use AI for research, writing, and even for voice overs on some video work! Over the next few years AI will only get smarter so as a marketer it’s important to stay abreast of what’s new in the AI world.
Biggest win, biggest lesson, or funniest career fail – what’s something that’s shaped how you work today?
Working in the events world is high pressured and extremely fast so learning to stay calm is key. Always try your hardest even if you make a mistake and don’t let it set you back! Just learn from it and you’ll do better next time around.
